INTRODUCTION
 |
The Glove Trust,
(registered charity 1102376) was set up to
recycle remnants of silk from the Glove design
and dressmaking business, for the benefit of
good causes. |
 |
Using the
off-cuts from our bridesmaids’ dresses, we
create beautiful cards, scarves and cushions,
which make ideal gifts. All the profits raised
are donated to a different independent charity
each year. |
 |
Funds are also
raised by Glove through donating 10% of the
value of any Glove Design order taken at a
Bridal Show at which we are exhibiting (Earls
Court National Wedding Show
26th
September – 28th September 2008), and by
charging for fabric swatches. |
 |
The Trustees of
The Glove Trust are Caroline Arthur, Matthew
Tarrant, Iain Arthur and Claire Boydell. |
 |
This year, we are supporting Cherry Trees, a respite
care home for children with severe disabilities in
Surrey. |
Cherry
Trees is a very special place. It provides day
and overnight short-term respite care for
children from tiny babies up to their 19
birthday who have a learning or physical
disability. This allows parents to have the very
necessary breaks they need from caring for their
children 24 hours a day and to catch up with
their lives and devote time to the rest of the
family.
VOLUNTEERS WANTED
 |
We are always
looking for help producing cards, scarves and
cushions from the off-cuts of our bridesmaid’s
dress fabric range. |
 |
All materials
and guidelines are provided by Glove. You don’t
have to be a couturier, just enthusiastic, and a
bit crafty with a needle and some glue! |
 |
If you have some
time to spare, and are interested in helping
make some products, we would love to hear from
you. |
 |
Please contact
Caroline via
Glove for more information. |
